Footsteps of a son of God

Dedication

“”A good woman is a jewel in a man’s crown,” said the wisest man on earth. A man ought to honor a good woman. See? “But an evil one is water in his blood,” and his blood is his life. You men that’s got good wives, you don’t know how you ought to thank God for a good wife. For if God could’ve give a man anything better for a helpmate, He’d have done it. But a woman is the best helpmate that God could give a man.”

I do thank God for guiding my wife to decide to spend her life with me. We have laughed together and we have cried together. We have shared the ups and downs of life and through it all she has remained the tender young woman that I married so long ago. Oh, we are both grayer now and have put on a few extra pounds, but the essence of the woman still remains the same. Sweet, cheerful, always ready with a smile and yet, the trials of life that we have gone through have given her a strength of character matched only by those great women found throughout the pages of Scripture. No doubt, she will cringe reading this because she doesn’t see herself this way, but we must always remember that it’s how God sees us that really matters, not how we see ourselves.
I look forward to that day when we will walk those streets of gold together, our Footsteps into eternity.
