Footsteps of a son of God

Statement of Purpose

Hello!  My name is John Low and I have a remarkable story to tell.   I have chosen to tell my story on the world-wide web so that I can reach just as many people as I can.  The purpose of this narrative is not to make my name available to people worldwide for vanity reasons.  This narrative is devoted to telling the story (testimony, if you will) of what God has done in my life.

So many times I’ve heard it said, “I’m not good enough to be a Christian“.  Look at the world around you.   Many of the people you see are obnoxious and rude;  many are inconsiderate, even hurtful;  some even appear evil.  But few Christians were any different than those you see around you before they encountered the transforming power of Jesus Christ.

Jesus, when questioned why he visited with sinners,  said in Mark

Mark 2:17
They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they
that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

True Christians were no different than those you see around you, but something has happened to them.  They have had a personal experience with Jesus Christ. Because of this, He has begun working in their lives to transform them into the likeness of . . . Jesus himself.  Do Christians have problems? Certainly.  Do they many times act unchristian-like? Unfortunately.  But what is important is not to look at individuals, but rather look to Christ .  Use Him as your standard, accept Him as your comforter.

You may have been intrigued by the title, Footsteps of a Son of God.  That’s really a pretty bold claim if I’m claiming this for myself.  Well,  I do claim to be a son of God.  As you will see in this narrative, God has dealt with me from the time I was born, not because of anything I had done or will do,  but because in His divine purpose He selected me.  It is only by His Grace that I am able to make this claim.  But I don’t do it boldly.

GRACE
; Theology.
a. Divine love and protection bestowed freely on people.
b. The state of being protected or sanctified by the favor of God.
c. An excellence or a power granted by God.

You will see that all of these definitions of grace have applied to my life.  I have experienced His divine love and protection time after time.  His protection is the only reason that I am still here to write this testimony. By His power alone,  I can say my life is, and has been,  sanctified.  And,  if there is anything worthwhile in my life, it is because God dwells within me and is manifesting His attributes through me, not because of anything I have done.

I feel strongly that the Lord has led me to write of my experiences.  Maybe somewhere,  someone (maybe it’s you) will read this and realize that perhaps,  God is calling.  No matter what your situation is – good, bad or otherwise – you must understand that we are never alone,  we are never without help when we are in trouble.  Listen to the song When He Was on The Cross. There is a love that passeth all understanding and you are never too far away for Christ to bring you back.   All you have to do is to answer his call and Only Believe that he can, and will, do it.
